A harbour town situated on the Glaslyn Estuary, Porthmadog is rich in maritime history and is an excellent base for touring the surrounding area. It has a number craft shops and restaurants. The town was named after W.A. Maddocks whose ambitious "Cob" embankment scheme led to the town's name, which translates as "Madog's Port". In times gone by, it was a vital, busy shipping port for the international slate trade, brought down from Blaenau Ffestiniog. The maritime history depicts its proud past.

Black Rock SandsEven though the name suggests a dark beach, you won’t see much in the way of blackness. Black Rock Sands is an open, wide beach with fine sands. The name comes from the area to the west of the beach dominated by a large, multi-coloured headland rock, low-tide caves and rock pools, an area rich in marine life. Natural history is also a feature of the local sand dunes, which have been declared a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’. Unusually, you can drive onto the beach here – so it’s a popular spot not just for picnickers and sandcastle builders, but also for motor boats and water bikes which have a special zone designated for their use.

.Clough Williams-Ellis built Portmeirion from 1925 to 1975 on his own private peninsula on the coast of Snowdonia in Wales. He wanted to show that 'the development of a naturally beautiful site need not lead to its defilement' . The village also has several shops and restaurants and is surrounded by the Gwyllt sub-tropical gardens and woodlands and miles of sandy beaches.....

Garreg Wen Holiday Park.

Garreg Wen is an exclusively private park cradled by fields and mountains.

This little bit of heaven is a fantastic choice for those of you looking to escape and get away from it all and to enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds this park.

I will say that plot availability is sparse but if you were lucky enough to get a plot there then I am sure you enjoy many years of relaxation and pleasure.

The park is predominantly lodge based especially on the sea view plots. If this sounds like what you may be looking for then it’s well worth a visit. Please call Kristel to arrange a viewing and also plot availability update.

Cardigan View is an Owners Only Park

Cardigan View holiday park lies beside Black Rock Sands in North Wales, a seemingly unending blue flag beach. It’s the perfect caravan holiday home location for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Endless possibilities exist for water sports, and there are fantastic walks along the beach, the coastal path and up into the foothills and mountains of Snowdonia.

Away from Porthmadog, there is a wealth of places to visit and things to do, from quad biking, archery and go-karting, to abseiling and rock climbing. Nearby Criccieth has two beaches of sand and pebble either side of the castle, which stands proud on the cliff top, dominating the town.

Best of all is the knowledge that at the end of each and every different day, you are going back to a laid back park within an idyllic setting with the option of a relaxing swim in the heated pool or a picnic on the beach.
